Learn how to achieve healthy skin

A good skincare routine starts from the inside. No matter how many topical treatments you place on your skin, if you aren’t giving your skin (the largest organ on your body, I might add) the nutrients it needs, it’s not going to thrive. Eat your fruits and vegetables, yes, they really are good for you! Carrots are great for fighting breakouts due to the vegetable being in beta-carotene and vitamin A. Beta-carotene prevents the overproduction of cells, meaning less flaky dead cells that can clog your pores. Red and orange vegetables are proven to improve your skin and give a radiant glow, so also add sweet potatoes to your diet! Vitamin C also helps your body build collagen so go heavy on your yellow peppers and oranges. Don’t ignore spices either, turmeric is a known anti-inflammatory. Adding this to your diet (I personally throw mine in my smoothie) can help minimize breakouts and how long they last.

A good skincare routine consists of both a day and night routine. At night, you want to make sure you remove all of your makeup and buildup from the day. Even if you don’t wear makeup, the elements of the outside can clog your pores and make you more prone to breakouts.

  • After you use our Clear Skin facial cleanser, now it’s time to start your skincare routine. Yes, the steps matter. The next step is a serum. Serums are an easy way to pack healthy ingredients into your skin.
  • This is a great morning serum. It’s great for minimizing and preventing wrinkles and fine lines, speeds up skin healing and plumps up your skin. Our Dive Deeper Facial Serum is a little pricey, but it works. People tend to notice a difference in less than two weeks. Serums will cost you more than a moisturizer because of the concentration of ingredients in the product.
  • After this, add a moisturizer. Yes, everyone needs a moisturizer (even if you have oily skin). A moisturizer locks everything in. At night, also use a moisturizer to really replenish your skin. In the morning, after you finish using your moisturizer of choice, don’t forget: sunscreen! Sunscreen should go on your face daily as sun can really speed up aging and add hyperpigmentation.
